My BIG BANGed HUBLOT

Hublot Big Bang Ceramic 44mm 301.SB.131.RX

I chipped the Ceramic Bezel!! I can not believe how short-lived the excitement of my brand new watch lasted.

Out on the town one evening, a friend gave a compliment on my new watch and when I looked to admire it, I noticed a chip between 4 & 5 o'clock. It stood out like a Big Banged swore thumb and obviously the thought of it quickly ruined my evening. The next day I contacted Hublot and they started a claim and gave me their FedEx number and asked that I send them the watch directly. Being that the watch was practically brand new, I thought for a moment they might even change the bezel as a courtesy. In a few weeks I received an email from Hublot with an estimate for over $2200 to replace the damaged bezel. I couldn't believe the price. I had to look at the estimate 4 times to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. Extremely disappointed, I replied to their email and asked that my watch be returned to me, As-Is.

When I first purchased my Big Bang, I believed the price was very justifiable based on the quality and workmanship that went into building the watch. Unfortunately, I stand to be corrected. Purchasing the watch was a mistake simply because they are too fragile! Rather than being known as a maker of fine watches, Hublot should be considered more as a maker of small clocks; clocks that need to be carefully placed in a plexiglass case on your credenza. Also, they really should NOT have sponsored the "Jet Man" flying over the English Channel. It would better depict their imagine had they looked into sponsoring something of shared common likeness. Perhaps a museum?

My image of them shattered, when the bezel did!
